Product Availability Q-PA-1: Is Mortgage iBacus available for the iPhone or iPod touch? A-PA-1: Not yet. PragNotion Software is working on a iPhone & iPod touch version in early 2010.
Q-PA-2: Is Mortgage iBacus available for any other smartphone platforms, such as Android, Google phone, PowerPC? A-PA-2: No. PragNotion Software currently targets the BlackBerry and iPhone smartphone platforms only. Installation Q-I-1: What BlackBerry smartphone models does Mortgage iBacus support? A-I-1: Mortgage iBacus currently supports any BlackBerry running BlackBerry Java Development Environment (JDE) v.4.5.0.
Q-I-2: Will my BlackBerry Storm smartphone run the Mortgage iBacus app? A-I-2: Yes. If your BlackBerry Storm is running OS v4.7, then using the "compatibility mode", the app should run on the Storm with a virtual touch-screen keyboard and an app screen size that emulates the screen size of qwerty-keyboard BlackBerry smartphone models. To do so, go to User Setting > Options > Advanced Options > Applications; locate the Mortgage iBacus app from the list; then open the menu and select "compatibility". If your have upgraded your BlackBerry Storm to OS v5.0, leave the "compatibility mode" disabled to better results.
Q-I-3: When I try to install the app over-the-air, why does it say "The IT Policy does not allow downloading third-party applications"? A-I-3: If your BlackBerry smartphone is provided to you by your company as a corporate asset, the information technology department or policy restricts your use of third-party applications. There is no way to defeat this restriction. Using the App: A-U-1: Try reading the user guide.
Q-U-2: How accurate are the results? A-U-2: For most users, with loan amounts (principals) ranging between $100,000 and $1,000,000, the mortgage payment results are accurate to a few pennies for typical interest rates ranging between 0.125% and 30%. The app does not support calculations for interest rates outside of this range. Additionally, the app does not support loan amounts $10,000,000 or greater.
